Little Nice
Rehearsal Guide

Big Nice Studio · 25 Carrington St, Lincoln, RI 02865 · Brad’s personal cell to text: 401-578-6521

Little Nice is located on the near side of the building with the handicap ramp. Go inside and the door is immediately to the right. Restrooms and kitchen are straight ahead.

Little Nice is also a recording room, and it's in a building shared with other businesses. These rules keep it working for everyone. Please read them before your first rehearsal.

The rules

  1. Book, pay, and cancel on time. $35/hr. 50% deposit to book a date, balance due at session. Cancel at least 24hrs ahead or you lose your deposit. No-shows are billed in full.
    Pay @bignicestudio on Venmo

  2. Load-in and load-out count as rehearsal time.

  3. Your band and crew only. No audiences, parties, or shows.

  4. Use the rehearsal gear only. Included: guitar and bass amps, PA, SM57s and 58s, drums and hardware. Everything else is off-limits, including recording gear, the mic locker, and anything with a studio label.

  5. Report damage before you leave. Text Brad. Normal wear is on us; damage from misuse is on you.

  6. No smoking, vaping, fog or haze machines, candles, or open flame anywhere inside. This is an 1840s mill with sprinklers and smoke detection.

  7. No illegal drugs.

  8. Keep it safe. Keep exits, stairs, the electrical panel, and sprinkler heads clear. Don't hang anything from pipes or conduit, and don't store anything in hallways.

  9. Return heat/AC thermostat when you leave. Air condition should never be left on in summer, heat should be returned to 50 in winter. You will be billed an hour of time if left on.

  10. Lock up. Never prop an exterior door open, and don't share your code. Close and latch every door when you leave.

While you're here

  • The kitchen, bathrooms, and hallways are shared with other tenants. Leave them how you found them.

  • Do not take anything that isn’t yours from the fridge.

Before you leave

  • Powered speakers and amps off (tube amps to standby, then off)

  • Mics, cables, mic stands put away where they were found.

  • House drum kit back in its spot.

  • All your gear packed out

  • Every can, bottle, set list, and string wrapper in the trash or recycling

  • Thermostat returned to starting position (see above)

  • Lights off

  • Every exterior door closed and latched

  • Text the studio line if anything broke or isn't working
